Event Description

In Berkshire we aim to reach into communities and engage hard to reach learners and introduce them to learning for the first time. We have a small group of Digital Learning Champions who will work throughout Berkshire until March 2010 and we need your help to reach the people and communities most in need.

Come along and find out what the project is about and the role you can play. We are inviting all of the people we know who are part of the Adult and Community Learning scene in Berkshire, so I am sure you will meet familiar faces and hopefully some new ones.

We want you to tell us which people in your communities we could work with and pledge to help us get to them. We are not looking for any financial support as the project is funded to do this. We just need your help to talk to the communities you represent or know.

Book now at http://bdlc.eventbrite.com and I look forward to seeing you on 12th

We will be producing video case studies and a methodology/tolkit for other to follow for making video case studies. I know there is stuff out there but we are using flip cameras so that its point and shoot stuff with little post production. That way the messages get out there ASAP and don't languish in an end of project report... We experimented with this at http://www.e-mpirical.com/videos/index.htm learnt a lot and if you look further down the page yu will see a process and lessons learnt. We intend to develop these further during the project and happy to share

This sounds great Tony. Good luck with the event and we look forward to hearing how it went. If the project or Learning Champions produce any resources to support them in their work, Becta is developing a directory of online resources. We hope to have a conversation with TF projects via the IALonline email newsgroup which TF projects should be joining.

Best regards...Chris...
